MVHS Hockey Players,
Thank you to all the
players that attended the Mountain Vista Hockey tryouts this past weekend. The coaching staff has chosen the following
players to play on the varsity team for the 2010 season. With only one night of tryouts and conflicts or injuries causing
many players not to be able to attend, the roster is not complete and we will bring several players to the first practices
to continue to build our varsity team. Anyone not on the list should plan to play Junior Varsity, however know that
we will need more players on the varsity and everyone that wants to play varsity, but could not make the evaluation, will
be given an opportunity to be evaluated at a varsity practice. Once we get our practice and game schedule from the league,
we will contact those we feel warrant further evaluation. Congratulations
to: Austin Campbell, Tyler Cavan, Jamin Drake, Nick Hillier,
Klay Johnson, Eric Killam, Dylan Meier, Alex Nelson, Justin Ohara, Cole Sweeny, Jerad Tafoya, Chris Tantillo, David Tran,

MOUNTAIN VISTA HOCKEY TEAMS END SEASON (posted May 12, 2008)
The 2008 HPHL
Season came to an end for all the MVHS teams last week and the players are getting ready to take their finals and head
into some down time this summer.
Congratulations are in order for the MVHS JV Gold team. The team made
it to the first round of the HPHL JV Playoffs, but was eliminated in the first game by Arapahoe HS JV. They ended
their season with an outstanding overall record of 7-3-1 in the South JV Division of the High Plains Hockey League.
MVHS JV Green was made up of MVHS Freshmen and one Sophomore. They did an amazing job this season and finished
in the middle of the South JV Division standings with a final record of 4-3-3.
The Varsity team competed
in the Tier I division of High Plains Hockey this season. This is the top division in the League. This division
is made up of the top level teams along the Front Range. The Varsity team finished out their season by winning one and
tying three of their last four games. The Varsity team also defeated rival Highlands Ranch schools: HRHS and TRHS during
the season. MVHS Varisty closed out their season with a record of 5-6-3.
Overall, the future of
hockey at MVHS looks bright. The school and the Athletic Director supports the program. We had a young
program this year, but next year we should have similar numbers of Juniors and Seniors at the Varsity level that the other
schools have.
The MVHS Hockey program, Players, Coaches and Parents would like to thank MVHS Principal Steve
Johnson, AD Dave Mumper, Athletic Staff Member Vicki Brown and the Douglas County School District for their help and
support of our program.

MOUNTAIN VISTA HOCKEY TEAMS END SEASON (posted May 12,
2008)
The 2008 HPHL Season came to an end for all the MVHS teams last week and the players are getting ready
to take their finals and head into some down time this summer.
Congratulations are in order for the MVHS
JV Gold team. The team made it to the first round of the HPHL JV Playoffs, but was eliminated in the first
game by Arapahoe HS JV. They ended their season with an outstanding overall record of 7-3-1 in the South JV Division
of the High Plains Hockey League.
MVHS JV Green was made up of MVHS Freshmen and one Sophomore. They
did an amazing job this season and finished in the middle of the South JV Division standings with a final record of 4-3-3.
The Varsity team competed in the Tier I division of High Plains Hockey this season. This is the top division
in the League. This division is made up of the top level teams along the Front Range. The Varsity team finished
out their season by winning one and tying three of their last four games. The Varsity team also defeated rival Highlands
Ranch schools: HRHS and TRHS during the season. MVHS Varisty closed out their season with a record of
5-6-3.
Overall, the future of hockey at MVHS looks bright. The school and the Athletic Director
supports the program. We had a young program this year, but next year we should have similar numbers of Juniors
and Seniors at the Varsity level that the other schools have.
The MVHS Hockey program, Players, Coaches
and Parents would like to thank MVHS Principal Steve Johnson, AD Dave Mumper, Athletic Staff Member Vicki Brown and the
Douglas County School District for their help and support of our program.
