JV Game Summary for Mountain Vista vs. Mountain Ice on 4/11/09:
MVHS JV team Freezes Mountain Ice 9-1 to remain undefeated!
In a display of domination, the JV MVHS team took it to the underpowered Mountain Ice team Saturday night. Cory Todd and Austin Young both came out of their scoreless seasons with 5 and 4 point games, respectively. Cory had a hat trick plus an assist and Austin had 1 goal and 3 assists to lead the scoring fest for the Golden Eagles. Play was dominated from beginning to end with the Eagles outshooting the opponent 36 to 5, both goalies; Hunter Vail and Jenifer Gormley saw action and stopped virtually every scoring chance. The JV team stands at 3-0-1 and in very good position nearly halfway through the season. Coaches Gibbar and Cartwright remain hopeful the team can achieve their goals for the season. Come see their next game on Friday at 7:30 PM down at the Joy Burns arena at Denver University against Ponderosa, or Saturday at the Ice Ranch against Fossil Ridge at 4:20 pm, or if Sunday fits best, come see them play at the Westminster rink at 12:30 pm against Monarch!
